New Thoughts for New Growth or Becoming an Entrepreneur
By Bonnie Smith-Silvia on Oct 1, 2009 in Personal Development
I have become consciously aware of my thoughts in the last year and all those motivational tapes, books and webinars have been creating a change in me. Being in real estate, getting a second job due to the bust and working for someone else until this year has made me snap out of my previous mindset.
I have picked out some tips that online gurus and millionaires have given me to share with you…because the only way to grow is to choose to change.
*You are selling yourself. It is not about you- it is about your audience or those you want to serve. Take the emotion out of your business decisions.
*Surround your life with leaders and optimists. Find a mentor or sponsor with integrity.
*Make decisions that are right for YOU. Find your passions and design your goals into your life.
*Learn new skills. Master at least one skill. Apply your knowledge.
*Be a living example to others: teach someone . Others magnify energy and build strength.
*Don’t do anything for just money-it is the value of life that is richer. The tighter you hold onto money, the quicker it will leave you.
*Keep your word and be on time.
*Never say something you would not want everyone to hear.
*Exceed expectations. Strive to give more value to others then expected.
*Work smart not hard. Don’t trade hours for dollars.
*Focus and Prioritize your time. Do activities that lead to success.
*Don’t worry about making mistakes or failing. Risk everything and Learn.
*Take sides and be confident in your decisions but acknowledge your errors.
*Hold your self to the highest standards. Don’t settle for less.
*Communicate and get involved: Be socially oriented.
*Money is creating ideas and goods: have an abundance mentality.
*Expect criticism and negative people: don’t respond to them in anger.
*Work with your competitors: there is enough to share. You are all in the same game.
For now, the last advice that is the hardest to follow is to be flexible and patient about any learning curbs. Nothing stays the same forever and you have to learn the new rules in order to survive.
I appreciate whoever told me to start step by step and not try to do it all at once. I want to become an empowered entrepreneur so badly at times that it is like sitting down to a banquet and trying to eat everything in one sitting. Take small bites and savor each flavor and taste of any success you have!

This is a great list of advise for everyone. Thanks for writing all of these down for me to read.
I really relate to your statement about becoming an empowered entrepreneur. I have a record that plays over and over in the back of my mind which says “the way to eat an elephant is to eat it one bite at a time”. This is key to how we should absorb all the technological information that keeps pouring into our lives.
You will become that empowered entrepreneur as along as you listen to great mentors and never quit the internet marketing tactics.
May you be blessed with great prosperity and relationships that last forever.

Hi Bonnie
Nice job on the blog. It’s really tough to slow down, I know this too. So much information overload and the way those marketers make you feel like there is nothing that is going to top what they have, then….. along comes another to top them.
I wish you luck.
